Taylor sends out warning shot

Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor sent an all too familiar warning shot across the bow of the darts world on Sunday night with a convincing win over Wayne Mardle 2-1, in the Hasseroder Northern Irish Regional Final.

Taylor resisted the challenge of Mardle in the final to pick up a cheque for £4,000 and extend his lead at the top of the UK Open Order of Merit.

Taylor is odds on favourite to lift the Paddy Power World Grand Prix title in a week’s time at the City West Hotel, Dublin and few would bet against him relieving Alan Warriner of his crown in seven days.
