Dunne's career in doubt

Dublin featherweight Bernard Dunne's professional career was put on hold last night after the 22-year-old failed a pre-fight medical in New York.

Dunne was due to fight on a high-profile promotional card under boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard in Buffalo tonight against Tony Espinoza - when a routine brain scan revealed a tiny cyst.

The Dubliner underwent similar tests last week in Buffalo and was given the all clear - but the New York State Athletic Commission doctor pulled the contest.
