Michael Schumacher was on course to complete the fastest F1 race of all time as he led the Italian Grand Prix by eight seconds after 22 laps.

Michael Schumacher was on course to complete the fastest F1 race of all time as he led the Italian Grand Prix by eight seconds after 22 laps.

Schumacher was ahead of team-mate Rubens Barrichello, with Juan Pablo Montoya third.

Kimi Raikkonen was fourth, Eddie Irvine fifth and Mika Salo sixth.
