Raikkonen sets the pace
Kimi Raikkonen conjured up a blistering lap to take top spot in final practice for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.
The Finn, who set the pace on Friday, had dropped to third fastest in the opening session this morning as Ferrari's Michael Schumacher powered back to the head of the timesheets.
But Raikkonen responded in the final session before qualifying later in the day, although just 0.081 seconds separated him from the five-time world champion.
David Coulthard was third quickest in the other McLaren just ahead of Schumacher's fellow Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello.
The Williams-BMW duo of Juan Pablo Montoya and Ralf Schumacher were fifth and sixth fastest respectively.
Schumacher senior will be expecting to claim pole position for the race when he will bid for an outright record of six victories on the track.
Jenson Button posted the 10th best time in his Renault, while Jaguar's Eddie Irvine was 12th fastest.
Allan McNish was 18th for Toyota, while Anthony Davidson finished practice effectively bottom of the time-sheets in 20th place for Minardi.
