Courtney regains F3 lead
The British Formula 3 Championship double-header races at Oulton Park provided a day of incident packed racing with Carlin Motorsport driver, James Courtney reclaiming the lead of the F1 feeder series.
The first race that began in dry conditions was red flagged due to a downpour that led to a number of cars being marooned on the Cheshire track.
The race was stopped at two third distance and with results being declared on the count-back system Heikki Kovalainen was declared the winner, ahead of Fabio Carbone with Mark Taylor and James Courtney third and fourth respectively.

In the second race, Courtney dominated and the 20 points he gained for the race win puts him just two points ahead of Robbie Kerr, who followed him past the chequered flag.
Bruce Jouanny and Michael Keohane remain in their respective championship positions of third and fourth.
Jouanny had a dismal outing, collecting only two points while Keohane withdrew from the event due to his father’s ill health.
