Sheehy and Ryan fail to qualify

Ireland’s Ciara Sheehy and Gary Ryan have both failed to qualify for the finals of the women’s and men’s 200m at the European Championships in Munich.

Sheehy finished 5th in her semi-final, while Ryan finished sixth in his heat.

Earlier today, Geraldine Hendricken and Maria Lynch failed to qualify from their respective 1,500m heats, while Peter Coghlan also failed to progress after finishing fifth in the 110m hurdles.
