Toyota confirm Jordan approach

Jordan could be set to lose their Honda engine supply after it was confirmed team chief Eddie Jordan has asked Toyota to provide power next season.

The Japanese company are closely linked with BAR and have long been rumoured to be ready to ditch Jordan.

Toyota team boss Ove Andersson confirmed he had been approached by Jordan as they search for next season's power units.

But Andersson said: "There is absolutely no agreement and we have no plans to supply engines to any other team at the moment.

"To think about supplying another team with engines at this moment in time is definitely not in our plans."
