Keohane sixth in F3 challenge

The Formula 3 Challenge race at Silverstone was won by Finnish ace, Heikki Kovalainen, while Ireland's Michael Keohane placed well.

The Formula 3 Challenge race at Silverstone was won by Finnish ace, Heikki Kovalainen, while Ireland's Michael Keohane placed well.

Cork driver, Michael Keohane was sixth in the 15-lap race, and Portadown’s, Adam Carroll was the highest placed Scholarship driver.

There were few overtaking manoeuvres in the race with Kovalainen - who led from the start -outpacing his Fortec team mate, Fabio Carbone at the lights.

The race order remained unchanged with Carlin’s James Courtney chasing down the Fortec duo.

Keohane tried to overtake Robbie Kerr but the Englishman withstood the challenge, however he was out by lap six and Keohane slotted comfortably into sixth, where he finished.

Carroll overtook his Sweeney Racing team mate, Robert Dahlgren and won the Scholarship category by a comfortable margin.
