Half-time: Ireland lead Saudis 1-0

Ireland are leading Saudi Arabia 1-0 at half-time in their final Group E qualifier.

Robbie Keane scored the breakthrough goal after seven minutes, volleying home from just inside the area.

As the half wore on, however, Ireland were hard pressed by the Saudis, however, who caused serious problems down Ian Harte's flank.

In the other match in Group E Germany and Cameroon are scoreless at half-time.

Germany had Ramelow sent off after 40 minutes.
