Quinn likely to be sprung from bench again

NIALL QUINN’S demolition of the ultra-efficient German defence in Ibaraki has caused manager Mick McCarthy to reconsider his team selection ahead of Tuesday’s decisive World Cup tie against Saudi Arabia in Yokohama.

McCarthy has remained consistent in his team selections throughout this World Cup and he is on record as saying he favours the diminutive Damien Duff as partner to Robbie Keane at centre-forward.
