Snooker: White crashes out of Embassy World Championships

Jimmy White is out of the Embassy World Championships after losing his second-round meeting with Matthew Stevens.

White was trailing 6-2 overnight after a disastrous opening session and his bad form continued into today’s play.

The Whirlwind could only win one frame this morning as Stevens notched up breaks of 91 and 105 on his way to a 13-3 victory.

The Welshman will now go on to play either John Higgins or Grame Dott in the quarter-finals next week.
