Athletics: Edwards may continue to Athens
World triple jump record holder Jonathan Edwards is having second thoughts about early retirement and may continue until the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
The British athlete raised a few eyebrows when he admitted late last year he was considering quitting after becoming disillusioned with the sport.
He has won every major championship title, apart from the Commonwealth crown which he feels does not carry the same weight as Olympic, world and European gold medals.
Edwards, 36 next month, is adamant his career cannot last forever.
