Snooker: Judge beats Swail to reach last 16 in Scotland
Dubliner Michael Judge has booked a place in the last 16 of the Regal Scottish Open after beating his compatriot, Joe Swail, 5-3 in the second round yesterday afternoon.
Ireland’s Fergal O’Brien also crashed out of the competition yesterday after losing 5-1 to England’s Ali Carter.
Elsewhere, world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan was beaten 5-3 by Barry Hawkins, Jimmy White hammered Gary Wilkinson 5-0, Dominic Dale overcame Paul Hunter 5-3 and Bjorn Haneever beat Alan McManus 5-4.
