Motorsport: Keohane on fourth row
Cork driver, Michael Keohane, has qualified on the fourth row of the grid for tomorrow’s first round of
the British Formula 3 Championship at Brands Hatch.
His Carlin Motorsport team, James Courtney (Australia) posted the fastest time to claim pole position where he will be joined by last year’s scholarship winner, Robbie Kerr.
Keohane was tenth quickest for most of the session, however, on the closing minutes of the session, he moved up three places.
The first five rows are:
1.James Courtney - Robbie Kerr.
2. Ernani Judice - Ronnie Bremer
3. Mark Taylor-Rob Austin
4. Michael Keohane – Bruce Jouanny
5. Richard Antinucci - Heikki Kovalainen.
In the Scholarship Class, the Sweeney Racing team of Billy Asaro (Canada) and Northern Ireland’s, Adam Carroll were fastest with Dubliner, Gavin Smith (Meritus Racing) third quickest.
