Premiership: Dodd faces fitness test before Saints trip to Ipswich

Ipswich will be without Sixto Peralta for the match with Southampton.

Peralta picked up a thigh strain on the recent mid-season break to Cyprus.

He will be joined on the sidelines by John McGreal, who is Ipswich's first suspension of the season.

Mark Venus (knee), Chris Makin (foot), Alun Armstrong (back) and Marcus Bent (hamstring) are all hopeful of being fit.

Finidi George is set for only his second Premiership match of 2002, having returned from African Nations Cup duty with Nigeria.

Jason Dodd faces a late fitness test on a knee injury, before Southampton bid for their first victory in four matches, at Ipswich.

Kevin Davies is available again following a one-match ban. Marian Pahars is expected to recover from a groin injury.

But Brett Ormerod and James Beattie are likely to be substitutes, as they continue their battle to recover full fitness.
