Ryan Day celebrated his Wembley debut by beating Dave Harold in the Benson & Hedges Masters.

Day won eight matches to qualify for his Masters debut by capturing the B&H Snooker Championship in Mansfield.

And his first appearance at the Wembley Conference Centre resulted in a 6-3 win over world number 13 Harold.

Day's victory was watched by younger brother Rhys, currently on loan to Blackpool from Manchester City.

"He's never played at Wembley before and we've had a bit of banter about that," said the 21-year-old from Bridgend.

Day can now look forward to a showdown with Stephen Hendry.
