Snooker: Dott books semi-final place at Welsh Open

Scotland’s Graeme Dott has become the first player to reach the Regal Welsh Open semi-finals after beating Joe Swail 5-0 in Cardiff this morning.

A 134-clearance in the opening frame left the 24-year-old Scot as front-runner for the £7,500 highest-break award and set him up for a whitewash on his way to the semi-finals.

Dott will go on to play either Paul Hunter or Peter Ebdon tomorrow afternoon.
