Snooker: Doherty beats Wattana at Welsh Open

Ireland’s Ken Doherty has progressed to the second round of the Regal Welsh Open after beating Thailand’s James Wattana 5-2 in Cardiff this afternoon.

Doherty will go on to play Joe Perry in the next round after the Englishman beat Scotland’s Alan McManus 5-0.
