Basketball: Killester lose to Neptune

Neptune took an early lead, thanks to an outstanding first quarter performance from Kenny Gamble. Gamble hit 12 points to win Neptune the first quarter 25-16.
Killester's Eric Jackson had a superb game, both offensively and defensively and come the second quarter he was all over Gamble to keep his damage to a minimum for the remainder of the game.
Killester cut their deficit to six points with four minutes remaining and took the lead for the first time in
the game going into half-time 39-37.
The third quarter was scrappy with turnover after turnover and Killester pulled away leading 51-43 with five minutes remaining.
Neptune cut it back to two points going into the final quarter 57-59.
Neptune threw away any chance of a victory in the last quarter scoring a mere 11 points to Killester's 30. With four minutes to go the teams were even on 69 points apiece but Neptune had only one more point in the game giving Killester their fourth win in a row.
