Formula One: Stewart welcomes Silverstone decision

Former Formula One world champion Jackie Stewart has welcomed the International Automobile Federation’s decision not to take the British Grand Prix off the championship calendar for next season.

Stewart, President of the British Racing Drivers’ Club, feared the race would be taken away by the FIA after bad weather and blocked roads caused parking chaos and congestion at the Northamptonshire circuit during last year’s race.
