Defending champion John Higgins leads Chris Small by 3-2 in the second round of the UK Snooker Championship at York today.

Defending champion John Higgins leads Chris Small by 3-2 in the second round of the UK Snooker Championship at York today.

Elsewhere Paul Hunter leads Joe Perry 5-3 at the interval. In the other games, Ronnie O’Sullivan leads Ali Carter 6-2 while Jimmy White has a two frame advantage over Marco Fu.

Play is set to resume at 7pm.
