Motorsport: McRae warns Burns to be ready for new battle

Colin McRae, favourite for the World Rally Championship until he overturned his car in the final round of the Rally of Great Britain, has served notice on new champion Richard Burns that he will be gunning for the title next year.

The heated exchanges between Britain’s top two drivers were temporarily laid to rest when McRae masked his own disappointment and sportingly phoned Burns to offer his congratulations.
