Basketball: Ireland lose to Germany in Euro Championships

Ireland have been beaten by Germany in their opening match of the European Championship men’s semi-final round robins series.

Ireland lost 85-77 after getting off to a good start, thanks to a spirited display by Mike Mitchell.
