Motorsport: Makinen throws down championship challenge

British hopefuls Colin McRae and Richard Burns have been warned to expect a ‘big fight’ for the World Championship by rival Tommi Makinen in the Welsh forests this week.

The four-time world champion is regarded as the outsider by his two opponents in the three-man contest for the drivers’ crown, which is up for grabs at the Network Q Rally of Great Britain.
