Motorsport: Byrne best in Carlow

The seventh round of the Hewison Autotest Championship at Graiguecullen, Co Carlow resulted in a narrow win for Eamonn Byrne.

Championship leader and winner of the previous round in Mondello, JJ Farrell was second, thus leaving the situation at the top of the championship almost unchanged. The remaining places in the top six were filled by Eddie Peterson, Dermot Carnegie and Glen Irwin.
