Motorsport: Galligan retains lead in Peugeot 106 battle

Meath's, Rory Galligan retains his lead in the Peugeot Super 106 Cup category of the Banbury Rally in Oxford. Mid-way through the 14 stages, he has some ten seconds to spare over fellow Irish driver, Kris Meeke.

Galligan, the 2000 Billy Coleman Award winner, dropped time with fuel problems but has still managed to hold out despite the constant pressure of Meeke, along with Ryan Champion, who lies third and Gary Jennings, in fourth - all of whom are within 15 seconds of the top spot.
