Horseracing: Kinane misses Galileo ride

Michael Kinane misses the ride on hot favourite Galileo in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot tomorrow after his appeal over a two-day ban was dismissed at the Irish Turf Club today.

The Irish jockey left the hearing at the Turf Club’s Curragh headquarters grim-faced with his solicitor Andrew Coonan.
