Athletics: 19-strong team announced for Edmonton championships

An Irish team of 19 has been announced for the forthcoming world championships in Edmonton, Canada.

Big names Mark Carroll, James Nolan, Terry McHugh, Sarah Reilly and Karen Shinkins are all involved.

Thomas Cromin, Robert Daly, Paul McKee and Tom Cummins have been picked as expected for the 4 x 400m relay team, with Carroll and Nolan considered Ireland's best medal prospects.
