Formula One: Schumacher closes in on another crown

Michael Schumacher roared to victory in the European Grand Prix in Germany today to extend his lead in the World Championship to an imposing 24 points.

Schumacher triumphed for the second successive year in front of around 130,000 fellow countrymen on the Nurburgring by just over four seconds from the Williams-BMW of Colombia’s Juan Pablo Montoya.
