Horseracing: Fallon appeal to take place today

Kieren Fallon's appeal against the ban which has ruled him out of the Derby, will take place this morning.

Officials at Ayr found him guilty of irresponsible riding of a minor nature on third-placed Distinctive Dream in the RS Design Handicap last week and banned him for three days from June 9 to 11.

If Fallon is successful, he will ride the 2,000 Guineas winner and Derby favourite Golan. Otherwise, Pat Eddery will take the ride.
