A taxi driver who tried to steal a briefcase containing Matthew Pinsent's Olympic gold medal has been jailed.

Terry Sandford, a 42-year-old from south-east London, has been sentenced to four months after he grabbed the rowing athlete's leather case on seeing it lying on a car roof at Heathrow Airport.
