In the first of the EuroBOSS races at the new look Mondello Park, British driver, Tony Worswick, in an ex-Jordan car took a lights to flag victory.

Ireland’s, Sarah Kavanagh, also in an ex-Jordan, took a well deserved second as the two Jordan cars lapped the County Kildare circuit in tandem.

For the opening five laps the Dublin driver kept the Ferrari of Klaas Zwart at bay, the Dutchman retired by the middle of the 15 lap race with a damaged front wing.

Ireland’s, Noel McIntyre, driving a 1999 Reynard F3000, was third.

Paul Dagg recovered well to win the Stryker Sports car race and earlier, Michael Doyle won the Historic Sports Car race.

The second of the EuroBOSS races takes place later in the afternoon, the race programme is currently 45 minutes behind schedule.
