Olympics: Demonstrators protest China's bid

Scores of human rights demonstrators have picketed outside the International

Olympic Committee headquarters in protest at China's bid for the 2008 Games.

The demonstrators held up sheets with slogans such as "No Olympics in China

before freedom for Tibet" and "In Beijing the Olympic flame? Man, what a

shame!"

Beijing is one of five cities bidding to win July's vote, with the competition

coming from Paris, Toronto, Osaka and Istanbul
