Boxing: Lennox looks set to be left out in the cold

Lennox Lewis’ hopes of an early rematch with Hasim Rahman look to be waning after American cable network Showtime declared that talks aimed at getting Mike Tyson a shot at the new world champion are ‘‘proceeding nicely’’.

Lewis’ camp insist Rahman is contracted to a second bout with Britain’s former WBC and IBF title holder within 150 days of their first encounter in South Africa.
