Formula 1: Coulthard off to a flyer in Spain

David Coulthard set the pace in the opening practice session for Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.

Coulthard finished almost half-a-second quicker than his main rivals on the Circuit de Catalunya.

Brazilian Rubens Barrichello was second fastest in the other Ferrari, just over 0.4secs adrift, with Schumacher another couple of tenths back in third spot.

The German's younger brother, Ralf, who scored the maiden victory of his career at the last race in Italy two weeks ago, was fourth quickest for Williams BMW
