FAI Cup semi-final: Waterford and Longford set for replay

Waterford and Longford must meet again on Thursday night to see who plays Bohemians in the FAI Cup final after this second semi-final finished in stalemate at the RSC.

First Division Blues started superbly and took the lead on nine minutes.

A cross by Kevin Whittle was eventually turned into an own goal by the unlucky Stephen Gavin.

A nervous Longford rallied and levelled just before the half-hour when Paul McNally, as he had done in last week's quarter-final win, slotted home a penalty after Colm Notaro was pulled down by David Whittle.
