Snooker: Doherty one frame away from semis

Ken Doherty has won the seventh frame to pull ahead of Mark Davis in the Regal Scottish Open.

He now leads Davis by four frames to three.

Doherty started badly, and conceded the first two frames before coming back to win the following three and go into a one frame lead.

However, Davis, who knocked out tournament favourite Ronnie O'Sullivan, took the next frames to make it 3-3.

Doherty potted the pink and black under pressure to snatch his fourth frame from Davis.

Meanwhile, in the other quarter-final this afternoon Peter Ebdon defeated Alan McManus by five frames to two.
