Irish Masters: Ronnie rockets into lead

Ronnie O'Sullivan has opened a 5-2 lead after the first session of the

Citywest Irish Masters final against Stephen Hendry.

O'Sullivan pounced on Hendry's mistakes to make a series of big breaks, the

highest of which was an 87, on the way to leading 5-1.

Hendry stayed in touch with a 76 break in the last of the afternoon, but

remains just four frames away from defeat.
