Soccer: Lizarazu threatened by ETA

The Basque separatist group ETA reportedly demanded cash last year from French soccer international Bixente Lizarazu, who is a native of the Basque region, according to a Basque radio station.

Euskadi Irratia have reported that their reporters have seen an ETA document accusing Basque sportspeople of "assuming the public representation of Spain and France when both states are responsible for the oppression of Euskal Herria (the Basque homeland)".
