Soccer: IFA pledges to ban sectarian fans for life

The Irish Football Association has warned it may hand out lifetime bans to fans caught engaging in sectarian abuse of players during Northern Ireland home games.

IFA president Jim Boyce today launched a new code of conduct which prohibits anti-Catholic songs and the use of sectarian or racist language and emblems.
