Stan Collymore heads for Hollywood

Stan Collymore is aiming for a new career in films.

The retired footballer wants to follow the example of Vinnie Jones by becoming a Hollywood hero.

Press reports claim the striker has already had offers from film companies.

Collymore's agent Ian Monk said: "He's had a couple of offers which we haven't looked at in detail yet. But Vinnie has shown how an ex-footballer can make it big in movies and I'm sure Stan could be a success too."

The 30-year-old is also said to be considering television and modelling offers.

Mr Monk added: "Football's been a huge part of his life but he's very excited about what lies ahead."
