Racing: Cheltenham Festival now 'odds-on' to go ahead
Odds on the Cheltenham Festival going ahead have shortened with the announcement of the resumption of racing tomorrow.
Online bookmakers Blue Square quote the chances of horses running at the Gloucestershire course next week as 2/5.
Pessimists can pick up odds of 7/4 on the festival being cancelled or postponed.
The Blue Square odds represent a U-turn on those offered for the majority of last week, when cancellation of the festival was seen as an odds-on shot.
The Jockey Club says racing will start again on Wednesday, following discussions over the possible foot-and-mouth risks with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
