Mayo Sports Stars Dance cancelled

The Mayo Sports Stars Dinner Dance, scheduled to take place in the Castlecourt Hotel in Westport tomorrow night has been postponed because of the ongoing foot and mouth scare.

A spokesman for sponsors The Western People said that: "As a community newspaper based in a strong farming region, we wish to support the farming community".

The company took the decision in association with sponsors the Ulster Bank, and expressed regret for any incomvenience caused.
