Minister McDaid awards contract

The Minister for Sport, Jim McDaid, has awarded a German company the architectural contract for the proposed Campus Ireland National Stadium in west Dublin.

While making the announcement, the Minister also revealed the results of a new study, which shows that seven out of ten Irish people support the national stadium project.

The announcement comes just hours after the talks between the Taoiseach and the FAI.
