Formula 1: Jaguar snap up de la Rosa's services
Jaguar Racing have announced the signing of Pedro de la Rosa as their official test driver.
The 29-year-old has agreed a one-year testing contract with a view to racing for the team in the future.
De la Rosa, rejected by Arrows in favour of Enrique Bernoldi, was thrown a lifeline by Prost outfit just over a week ago, but has since opted for Jaguar ahead of the season.
Jaguar Racing chief executive officer Bobby Rahal said: "Pedro demonstrated in 2000 that he was a quick and able driver, and his input to the team will be invaluable as we develop the Jaguar R2 F1 car over the course of the coming season".
"By signing Pedro, we are sending out a signal of our intent to develop Jaguar Racing into a championship-winning team of the future he said."
