Sailing: Round-the-world yachters being driven round the bend

A journalistic crew member who left the yacht captained by Tony Bullimore at the halfway point of ocean challenge The Race has admitted he was worried about "bickering" on the boat.

BBC Radio reporter Rob Salvidge was one of three people aboard Bullimore's catamaran Team Legato who decided to leave when it docked in Wellington yesterday.

The boat, which is left with a crew of seven, is one of five remaining competitors in The Race, the ultimate round-the-world yacht race.

However, 61-year-old Bullimore is now more than 7,000 miles behind leaders Club Med, who have made it to the Atlantic Ocean.
