Monte Carlo Rally: Makinen completes Monte Carlo hat-trick

Tommi Makinen roared to a hat-trick of victories after Colin McRae suffered more Monte Carlo Rally misfortune.

Makinen triumphed after overnight leader McRae retired having lost more than 13 minutes on today's opening stage with a throttle problem in his Ford Focus.
