Williamson rests after Leopardstown fall

Norman Williamson has been forced to give up his rides at Plumpton today following a heavy fall at Leopardstown on Sunday.

The Irishman, who parted company with Wild Arms two out in the 24-runner Pierse Hurdle, said: "I went down at the second last and got kicked - it's not the race to go down in.

"I'm pretty stiff today and I've got bad bruising to my right leg. I'll be going to see Rabbit Slattery later for some physio.

"I'm not riding tomorrow but I'm hoping to be back by the weekend."
