Leinster's chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the European Cup were boosted this afternoon by news of Biarritz's 32-24 defeat by Northampton Saints.

Leinster's chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the European Cup were boosted by news of Biarritz's 32-24 defeat by Northampton Saints.

The Frenchmen could have overtaken Leinster at the top of Pool One with a win but the bottom side took both points.
