Swindon set to land Collymore?
Swindon Town have tabled an audacious swoop for Bradford's Stan Collymore.
The struggling Second Division outfit are hoping to land the out-of-favour striker who has been told he can leave the Premiership side.
Swindon chief executive Peter Rowe told Ananova.com: "We've made an enquiry to Bradford and tabled an offer.
"They have come back with what they believe they would be looking for. And we for the time being have said we'd like to leave our offer on the table and see what happens.
"It is more in the hands of Bradford now. We indicated we'd like to take him until the end of the season. But I think Bradford were looking for something more permanent.
"I understand their posistion, but I don't think we are really looking for that.
"We will probably talk again next week."
Rowe was not bothered about Collymore's recent history and was hopeful of getting the best out of the former Liverpool ace.
"Every club seems to think they can turn him around, but there is not getting away from the fact that the guy does have undoubted football ability," he added.
